So I have a slim PS3, got it less than 2 months ago, and I haven't been able to connect to PSN. I know it's not my router, as the regular internet is just fine. However, it first gave me the 8001050F error which was tied with APOCALYPS3 on Google, so no luck. Just updated yesterday, I got an error 80010519, and according to Google no English speaking person has ever encountered this error. Is it my PS3? Or just a bug from the update?

I have been getting the same error code as well after the 4.30 update. Before the update for about 2 weeks, I was getting error code 8001050F. So I'm in the same boat as you.

The knowledge center for the PS3 also shows no results when this error code is searched.

i got the same message until i tried to log in manually, i guess we all use "log in automatically"

Gettin same code(80010519) Sony doesnt seem to know what it is but say its mostly coming from people in NY area are you guys from that area too?

I  have the same code on mine I called sony and my system is out of warrenty and they will fix it for $99.00. Then i aked what the error 80010519 was he stated it was a bd-rom error. i ordered a new cable and laser from ebay. ill let you know if it works.

BTW I am from eastern ohio.

Hey guys, I get that message on my system as well. It would start out with the 8001050F and then move onto the 80010519.

Has been happening intermittently since I moved to a slim after my 40gb passed away. Never received it on the fat version, but get it at least 4-5 times a week now. 

I generally get it when my system boots with a grey screen asking me to set date and time. I've called Sony here in Australia and they are investigating the issue was they are not familiar with the error code.

I'm almost sure the error is caused by our PS3 date/time not being set correctly, but it cannot get the correct date/time from internet giving error "8001050F". I searched for that error and found that on 2010 there was a problem on PSN that caused PS3s could not get that information from internet (not sure about root cause). Although, it must be some similar issue now... I think we will need to wait until Sony guys solve their Server problems (and push for some compensation! =P)

Thanks for the replies, and im on the west coast; Nevada specifically. I have to set my time and date over after a boot, and all of my games and the browser work fine. The problem must be in PSN and not my console/router.

So just an update. I tried what TrUe-_HeLLSHade suggested and unticked auto login.  When I tried it the first time, I was still not having any luck. So I unplugged the power for 20mins and it worked straight away. I haven't had a problem over the weekend at all. 

Still haven't heard back from Sony regarding the matter either though
