Transfer of accounts between PS3s

3 replies 67 views Edited Oct 2, 2011

My dad has an account on my PS3 from when he was using it for a while. Now he's bought his own PS3, and we want to transfer his account to the new PS3. We know all about the transferring of save data, so that's no issue. But whether we can transfer the whole account itself without wiping any of the other accounts on my system, or any other data, is a whole other story. My theory is that he can just recreat the account name on the new PS3, then just log into the PSN using his account log in info, and poof, the account is now on his machine. But if that's not the case, then please, oh please....Someone help! T.T

  1. Make a new local user profile on the new PS3.
  2. Go to Sign up for PlayStation Network.
  3. Choose Use Existing Account and login with your dad's PSN ID.

That's all there is to it.
