No. Sony maintains the right to shut down the services of any game without notice. This fact is included with End User License Agreement, which you agreed to upon purchasing the game.

The game was released in October 2008 - 5 years ago.  It's run its course.

This question is not solved.

 

Can sony/moderator explain why its being shut down?

 

You keep the original Call of duty online wich is over 10 years old now. So why shut Socom down?

 

There must be someone within sony who can answer the question.
