Ditto. That's hard earned ebay money I was gathering for the upcoming holidays.

Re: 3 Emails with $50 funds added to my account?

Nov 26, 2013

UPDATE: After being on hold for just over an hour, and just under 30 minutes of being put back and forth on hold, my case has been submitted for "review". I've been informed that if I get a refund, it will get credited to my PSN Wallet, not my credit card.

When I asked if this is related to the security irregularities this morning that caused them to reset a ton of PSN passwords, I was told "no, not at all".

Sure.

I'm glad I'm not the only person reporting the FIFA theft. I'm going to give Sony the benefit of the doubt and expect them to do the right thing, but this experience may decide whether I purchase a PS4 or not.

Re: Sony wallet credited 3 times by 50$, unauthorized transactions

If Sony doesn't refund us I'm definitely in on the Class Action suit. This is ridiculous.

I'm on the phone now, but from what I've read from other posts Sony is refunding the $$ into the PSN Wallet, not back to the Credit Card. Might have to play phone tag between Sony and the CC company over this one... Smiley Frustrated

Update from my side of things.  Called Sony>> they refunded me to my card, not my wallet.>> do not see the transaction, but they said that it could take upd to 5 days.... So there is that bit of fun.

I had the exact same thing happen to me this morning. They tried to charge $170, but failed twice and ended up getting $110. They stole 12000 FIFA points and a FIFA add-on pack. I don't even have a FIFA game and couldn't even remotely care any less about soccer. I talked to my bank already and they are refunding my money. I'm on the phone now waiting to talk to someone at Sony about this.

Quick update. Called sony>> Got money refunded to CC not wallet>> could take up to 5 days for funds to show up... that part is the only crap part. Other than that when I called I stated that I had been hit with 3x$50 charges and the tech seemed to be aware of the problem.

Any word on this?? And I thought I was the only one! I tried calling customer service but hung up after waiting for 30min! I have other things to do. I already cancelled my credit card and I suspected my hotmail account so I closed that too.

This is just upsetting...

Update on my end: called Sony, waited the typical 1 hour of hold-time, spoke to the techs (had to talk to two), spent about 20 minutes talking / waiting, and finally they are refunding to my credit card.

The reps were easy enough to work with, I think they've caught wind of the problem and are prepared to deal with it (although their language of the refund being an "act of good will" on their part was a bit laughable).

If you've had this problem, give them a call and they will likely refund it.

Exact same thing here, maxed my wallet, then wiped it on FIFA Season ticket, and 18800 points. I called customer support, and waiting for 1 hour on the phone I finally got someone. All they can do is help make your account "secure" again (ex. password change, account email change). And complete a Refund request, which the guy told me I will get back, since the money was stolen from me.

I'm curious though, I had them return it to my card. But I just cancelled my card, and I am wondering if it will still make it back to my checking account if my card has been cancelled.

Yes it will. Your bank will accept charge backs and/or returns to the card for a few months but will not allow a charge.

edit: I just wanted to state that I kudoed many people in this thread. I don't want it to seem that I did it because something bad happened to you, but rather you shared what they did and what went on on your account. With this it seems that some people who had a CC on file were charged to the maximum wallet amount and purchased FIFA goods and services. Thank you and Sorry.
