Sharing Downloaded Games Between Different Accounts on the Same System

1 replies 210 views Edited Sep 22, 2012

Hi,

I recently moved in with a new roommate who owns a PS3 (huzzah!). For the first few weeks I was buying and downloading games (with my own credit card) through his PSN account. Now that I'm in it for the long haul, I decided to go ahead and create my own PSN account and username. Unfortunately, I'm having trouble accessing all the games I bought under his name. From what I understand, all users on a given PS3 system have access to the games downloaded on that system. Am I doing something wrong? If I'm unable to "share" games, is there a way to transfer ownership of the games from his account to mine? He almost never plays games and only uses the PS3 for Netflix and stuff like that, so it wouldn't be a total d**k move.

Anyway, please let me know what my options are.

Thanks,

Frank

Not sure about why you can't access the games, but there is no way to transfer content from one account to another. Do you get any error messages when trying to use content from your roommate's account?
