Hi, for about the last week my two ps3s have been logging out of psn at random times which makes playing online games impossible. They worked fine until about a week ago and the internet connection is fine, I tried them both wired and wireless, with the media server enabled and disabled, and I have tried port forwarding, nothing seems to help. I dont know if this issue is because of an update or not, but I know its not my internet connection. Anyone else having similar problems?
What results do you get when you perform an interent connection test, also are you receiving any error messages?

When I perform an internet connaction test everything is fine. I can log in to start a game, but usually around 30-40 mins in, it logs me out. I can then log right back in to play again, but it kicks me out of any online games which is really annoying. There are no error messages, it just keeps logging me out once or twice every hour. Its happening to both my account and my wife's account, both on different ps3s, but the exact same problem.
It just started doing this a week ago for me, so Im assuming it has something to do with an update. It is really annoying, both my ps3s are slim models (not the newest slim slim ones) and it happens to both. I really want to get back to playing borderlands 2 with my wife but this problem is making it unplayable.
I'm not one of those how blame these problems to the firmware upate. To me your networking problems can be a result of one or a couple of the factors that make an internet connection/transmission possible.

|To me this sound like bufferbloat. If the devices connected to your network are demanding more than your router can efficiently handle then this will create high latency & jitter thus reducing throughput. This would make the connection between your PS3 & the PSN drop. Turn off any device that connects to your router but your PS3. Play some games and see if you get disconnected.
|Connect your PS3 directly to the modem and play some online games. See if after 30-40 minutes you get disconnected. If you still get disconnected, look to see if you have gone over your ISP's monthly bandwidth allowance.
Hi, thanks for the suggestions, I tried them while wired and it still logs me out occasionally. Nothing is using the router other than the ps3s and my desktop which is usually in sleep anyway. What makes me think its the update is they used to work fine a week or two ago and all my other devices run fine with no interuptions. I am not going over my monthly bandwidth allowance either.
