Psn card please help

I got a $50 psn card and when I typed it in it asked if I wanted to add to my wallet and I said yes but then it said funds could not be added...

It's easy to do so first make sure you're entering the card details correctly, for example an '0' can easily be confused for an 'O', know what I mean, so once you're happy that you're inputting it correctly try one last time.

 

I don't know where you're adding your funds but if it's not working on the PS3 Store try it via the online store & vice versa, the only other possibility is that the card was not activated at checkout by GameStop, if that is the case you'll have to return to the store.

When I enter it it says that it's $50 but when I press add funds it doesn't let me so Im pretty sure it works

This was my experience dealing with Sony support:

My advice is to make sure the receipt says "* ACTIVATED *".   If it doesn't, take it back to the retailer and get a replacement card.  It may be an old stock card that doesn't activate at the register.  If it hasn't been activated by the retailer, Sony can't/won't help you at all - no matter what they tell you initially.
