hi guys >

i have 8 mega connection My laptop get between 7-8  mbps when I run a speed test   The ps3 stays below 3mbps, and mostly below 2.  I have tried both wired and wireless connections I have used 3 different ethernet cables.  NOTHING WORKS!  Does anyone have any ideas?

Your laptop is likely testing speed through a nearby server in your town or city, while the PS3 speed test goes through the PSN servers that may be halfway across the country. If you test through the web browser, the PS3 browser is also slower and might give you much lower results. The PS3 results are likely to be underestimates.

It's not something to worry about unless you are having problems connecting online or playing games.
