Prices need an update!

3 replies 154 views Edited Dec 16, 2012

Recently, one of my friends bought Oblivion GOTY on steam for 20$. I tried shivering isles and it was really good. I already have the original version of Oblivion on PS3 and I want the DLC, but even if it was released 5 years ago, it is still 30$! I don't want to buy the GOTY or the PC version because I'll have to get rid of the one I currently have. The game alone is 10$, and the GOTY version is 20$, so that means that shivering isles should be 10$! The prices really need to be updated!

There is no error in the price. PC games and DLC usually cost less than the same content on consoles.  It is more expensive to distribute games on console.  The price will usually be lower on Steam, and that isn't going to change anytime soon. In any case, as the previous responder stated, pricing is set by the publisher.  Not Sony.  Tell it to Bethesda.

In fact I was wrong: he bought it for 10$ as a reduced price. The game is 20$. I checked in many stores, BOTH XBOX360 and PS3 boxed GOTY versions are 20$, new! I also checked on Bethesda's site, the DLC is 1200 Microsoft points on the XBOX store, which is 15$ if my maths are right. So the only online store not updated is PSN. As you said, I'll contact Bethesda to sort that out. I hope that this isn't too hard for them too, like they say for most of their games expansions when it comes to publish them in time...
