Folks please help. I recently brought out the PS3 from storage. Started it up and updated it to the latest version.
everythings great but the issue is when I go to the Playstation Store, it remains stuck at the welcome option and does not respond to any buttons of the controller. All I can do is quit the store and go elsewhere on the menu.
Can somebody please help? need to be able to access the store.

I don't know what to tell you, I just checked to see if I had the same problem and I got into the store without any trouble. You could restore your ps3 to the factory defaults, but you may end up losing some stuff. Sorry, I'm no help.

I've restored it twice now. Same problem. Just not able to navigate anywhere within the store. shows up fine with the welcome highlighted. Just can't go anywhere from there ![]()

You may want to call Sony's tech support, there may be a problem. I do know the new store has been a pain for some people. Is your ps3 a original fat, or a slim?

does it freezes it. hold the ps button and cut console off from there. Then let it load up , go to the ps store from inside in ps home.. If its work there, then it should work every way.
If that doesnt work . Try calling sony the number should be in knowledge support section below this thread onthe page.

It's the original fat one. Guess will call Sony and see if that helps...

My fat died last year, and I do know that the original ps3's aren't fairing to well these days for some reason, but sony support is your best bet.

I googled and quite a few people are running into this issue. be guy solved it by setting his time to update 'via the Internet' from settings.
I tried that but nogo.
thanks for the pointer on customer support. calling them - will post here - what happens.
