PSN issues

3 replies 48 views Edited Mar 26, 2012

As of 1:00 PM PST, the PSN keeps signing people out of the network mid-game.

About 2:00 PM PST, it wouldn't let me sign back in...

Please offer answers, and solutions.

Problem stopped.  Any reasons for why this happened?

Sony typically does not provide explanations for intermittent PSN outages.  They certainly don't do so in this forum, or any other forum. Sony doesn't guarantee that PSN will be available at any particular time, or any particular amount of the time.  It's a free service, so Sony doesn't feel any obligation to make it run like the Mastercard or Visa credit card networks.  You didn't pay Sony anything to use PSN, so Sony isn't obligated to provide you with any particular level of service.  That seems fair.  XBox Live has unscheduled outages too, and paying $60 a year doesn't prevent them.  No gaming network has guaranteed uptime, and they don't actually owe you an explanation.

Someone who has been around as long as you should know better than this. Use whatever fanboy excuse you want but at least use one based on truth. Here's some truth for you. The cost of the PlayStation Network is bundled into the price of the games you buy. The Network was never free and never will be.

You may not like nor agree with gkpama's response but it was an honest & correct one none the less.
