PS3 Wireless access point not detected

3 replies 335 views Edited May 19, 2013

Hey guys, been quite some time since I have posted on these forums, however have ran intoa problem. I have an original 60gb release PS3 which is (now on System software 4.41). I keep getting the Access point not detected error, however when flashed with 4.41 I was able to scan and find nearby access points (temporarily). Entered key, and gave an error. After re-launching the wireless setup menu, I tried scanning again and it went back to the access point was not detected error. Anyone encounter this in a similar fashion to the way I am? Thanks

Do you have other items like PC's, cell-phones, iPads etc on the same wireless network & if so are they working just fine?

I do, a Wii U, another PC on wireless in another room, my cell phone, a tablet as well and a smart tv, all of which are behaving as expected. I have a server handling DNS requests instead of the router, however this should not be causing the ps3 to not see the router at all, woul djust require manual addressing later in the setup.
