Since last week, I am not able to watch youtube videos clearly in PS3. I had no issues in the past. I have not made any changes in my internet or PS3 setup. It seems like internet speed recieved by PS3 from the Netgear wirless router (upstairs, PS3 & TV is downstairs) is not good enough. However, I am able to watch Netflix videos without any issues (seems like Netflix buffer the videos before it plays). Any thoughts on what might be the issue?
It may have nothing to do with bandwidth. The PS3 web browser doesn't have any video plug-ins installed at the version that Youtube requires, so the videos shouldn't be expected to play well, if at all. Every time Youtube updates its site, video playback on the PS3 gets a little worse. The plug-ins aren't expected to improve. The Vita has no Flash player plug-in at all.
If you suspect your wireless router, try restarting it. Also, try a wired connection temporarily if you think your wireless connection is the bottleneck.
