Keep disconnecting from PSN in the middle of MW3 games - 8002ad23

Hello,

I am constantly getting disconnected from psn in the middle of MW3 games. This has only been happaning since I started playing MW3.

I've tried to connect on line via wired connection to my router (TP-Link) and also connecting directly to my modem. I've checked with my ISP and my line is fine.

Is anyone else having the same issue?

What can I do to solve it?

I am glad I finally found someone with the same problem! I have a wired connection so I figured that would be fine. My internet is fine (computer works perfectly fine with wireless). If I hear of anything I will be sure to let you know.

I've got some info in the meantime. I think the issue was with my psn user. I've logged on as a different user and stopped having the issue.

For my corrupt user, I was also unable to delete anyone from my friends list. I got a 800-something-900 error. Try opening a new psn user and see if the problem stops, and also check if you cant delete from your friend list.

I'm now almost sure that the issue is with my psn user.

Does anyone know of a way to contact psn support? Do they check these forums?

im having same problems. keeps glitching and then kicks me out. says lost connection to host or timed out. what can this be. i even had charter change my modem and internet speed.. nothing still.

Have you opened ports, or tried UPnP or dmz on your router?

I am getting the exact same problem. My PS3 is connected directly to my modem with a static ip. My nat type is 1. I have no problem playing any other games or doing anything else except play mw3. I have a plus subscription and everything is up to date. I am hard wired in. I have an xbox that is also connected directly to my modem through the same line and it NEVER has a problem connecting. I have no idea what is causing this problem and would greatly appreciate some sort of resolve. Someone mentioned turning off the media server to resolve the issue which did not work for me. PLEASE HELP.

i guess we are not alone in here... we have 2 PS3.. me and my husband play MW3 and both of us get disconnected.. our internet work fine, we even have a strong signal when we play MW3, then all of a sudden we get disconnected..

by the way this does not only happen on MW3.. it also disconnect us while watching movies on NETFLIX, but it doesn't log us out on NETFLIX, it only log us out of PSN. and we still continue to was movie..

if any of you heard anything from PSN place let me know..

Disable media server in your network options.

Hi there. I'm not sure if you ever got a fix but I ran into the same problem tonight while I was trying to watch netflix and also found a fix.

With my PS3 I have a fixed ip adress. All I did was simply changed my ip adress for it and haven't ran into a problem since. Hope this helps you or anyone else with the same problem.
