IS there anyway to change your online ID im so tired of mine, i want to change it but i dont want to lose all of my games, torphies, and what not but having to make a new profile all together!!!!  If you can...is it free? do i pay to do it?

No there is not, your only option is to make a new one.

Yes they are incorrect. This is how. You need to do a full factory restore on the PS3. Then you can sign in with a new PSN ID. Everyone knows that.
