What are you talking about? The $1 is a hold on funds, not a charge, there is a difference. You'll be refunded in time.

There's no issue with credit cards, you just dont' know what you're doing/making this stuff up.

Just to check again. I know this sounds elementary, but please can you ensure that you are using the correct currency for your accounts region.
Other than that, the quickest and best way for you to resolve this issue is to follow the link below, and in my experrience, a phone call is the most efficient method:

I'll keep an eye out on this thread and I'll also see what I can discover on my end and post info as soon as I know.

I've been in the same boat as you guys now several times in the last two years. A few times a year this always seems to happen to me. Back in October I was able to buy Pay Day: The Heist with no problem, the very next day my PSN refuses to add funds to the wallet. I know my information hasn't changed and I know that my credit card isn't the issue since I contacted my credit card company and they told me Sony's not validating my card on their end and that the problem isn't me or the credit card company.

And now another voice...
I've had some intermittent success/failure with buying and adding funds within the last 2 weeks. Bought a game online (Real Steel) 2 days ago, then bought some add-ons (Designer and the UltraTech Body) , including adding funds for the second item, yesterday without an issue, but then today, I can't add any funds OR purchase items with the funds I have listed in my wallet.
I think SONY should put up a network 'Notice Board' on their site.
It doesn't have to be Uber-explanatory, but just something simple, like...
"
No Network Outages - All Areas"
...and then when there are outages...
"
U.S. - Network Outages Known/Reported (PSN Store)
Asia - Network Outages Known/Reported (Online Gaming)
South Americe - Network Outages Known/Reported (Network Streaming)
No Network Outages - All Other Areas"
...or even break it down into regions...
"
U.S. - Northwest region(s) - Network Outages Known/Reported (PSN Store)
U.S. - Southeast region(s) - Network Outages Known/Reported (Online Gaming)
Canada - Western region(s) - Network Outages Known/Reported (PSN Store)
No Network Outages Reported - All Other Areas"
If then an issue lasted longer than a few days, THEN maybe spin out a comment that it's being worked on and/or a small explanation as to probable cause, etc, for the region(s) affected.
It's a small, simple board that effectively shows the community that uses/supports and pays for their services gets some acknowledgement with issues.
I realize this post doesn't give any new info, or solutions to the issue, but I do humbly appreciate you're kindness in letting me rant .
And for those who aren't happy with ranters - my apologies .
