The issue about funds is regional. Sony support said some of the transaction servers were located over on the east coast. Hurricane Sandy hitting the NY/NJ area affected several data centers. I live in Texas, so I think my CC is trying to be authorized on the east coast and that is why the wallets fail. Sony support said they have had multiple call sof people not being able to add funds to their wallets.
Appears we just have to wait it out for the servers to be back onlone to purchase. As I was told, the issue is based on your regional location in the USA.
Well, after being unable to add funds to my wallet ( I assumed it was because my credit card had expired and I couldn't change my payment info on my ps) on my console, I tried the PSN website. Unfortunately, I could only add $10, $25, $50 or more at a time (only need $12). I was pleased to find I WAS able to add funds this way. Back to the playstation store, only to find I still only have $2 in my wallet. This is not good sony.
I'm really not sure what to do here. I recently purchased a PS3 after using an Xbox for a very long time. I was excited to be able to purchase games from my home but boy, what a mistake that was.
I tried two separate credit cards (in fact, one is a credit card and the other is a debit card). I copied my information DIRECTLY from Citi Card's website, so it has to be correct. The only discrepency is that Citi Card says I'm in "CA" while Sony's website forces me to be from "California", and if that is causing the billing errors, that's such a shame.
To add to this, I'm getting the 14% install corruption error when downloading and installing game demos (Madden 13, so far).
I've searched far and wide and there does not seem to be any fix (nor an acknowledgement from Sony that there is something to fix at all). Maybe I should just return this **bleep** thing and stick with the Xbox.
Still cannot add funds to the Playstation store after the store updated. I like the new layout. But if you still can't add funds to spend for games in the store then might as well not update the store at all. Don't fix what's not broken.
