That should not happen at all, and the chances of it happening to one person is very remote.  Where did you buy them?  Did the code work?  If it did not, then I would assume that both of the cards are counterfeit.

My guess as well is that they are counterfeit.  What looks like the serial number at the bottom of each card are the same on each in addition to the code being the same.

Did the code work when you tried to fund your wallet?

** Use a unique password for your PSN ID - one you don't use anywhere else **
** Engage brain before putting mouth in gear ** ** two-step verification - use it **

I was going to point that out too. I suspect trick photography.

well, if both have the same card and are legit, and the first code did work, then I would suggest you contact Sony about this, with your proof that both cards are the same.

But as pointed out, the chances of this happening are so small that it seems impossible, let alone happening to the same person.

I also assume you bought the cards from a trusted retailer?

Typical move from counterfeits... Copy legit one on a counterfeit and usually bundle entire ther so one will work next won't.. Seen it here in the us even..$30 for 2x $20 cards..they making profit. An hard to track down origination.. U can take down smaller sales.. Jut like drugs.. There's lot more to the network and unlike drugs.. Lot more secrecy.. Lot of it is handled by people that don't even live in the location and these smaller people are a dime a dozen..as it's usually the way they gain visa in or out of the nations.. Money, job etc.. And I anyone was wondering yes I contacted a cop on the street about the sale I found they said they are familiar with it took my notes of what I told em..

I find it interesting that this question has not been answered by the original poster.  The key is in the answer, if it ever comes.

Should it be a non-legit retailer I'm sure the community would like to know so that nobody else gets taken with a scam.

Sadly this crime is on the rise.. Even in games without buying cards, people making offers for it.. Careful everyone.. Obviously means someone found a loophole, exploiting it hard..
