How to change Nat type to type 2?

3 replies 1395 views Edited Feb 10, 2012

Im having difficulty with turning my PS3 Nat type from #3 to #2. Im using a Netgear wireless router model # WRN2000v2.  I have read through the forums on how to change this and I feel like I have done everything properly. I changed the IP on the PS3 to a dedicated number, ending in .250 but I run into trouble when I attempt to set up the IP on the router on the PC. The PC portion im sure is where I am making mistakes, or some little detail along the way. If anyone could help me with this problem, for this specific router, I would GREATLY appreciate it. Thanks for you time in responding, I look forward to seeing how to fix it.

BRIT-KO... Thanks for your post but it still didn't work. I tryed some of the things suggested. Ive given my PS3 a DMZ... i guess its like its own dedicated IP address. But that didn't help any. I don't get the option for ports, or a list of ports, so I had to enter all the ports between 80 and 8080 or something like that to try to open those. Still didn't work. I haven't got a clue... does anyone else have any idea or links to pages or something that will help me out. Stupid Netgear router is probably my problem!

Sorry it didn't help you out, is your router up to date with its firmware, also have you tried changing the channel to say 1 or 11, what results do you get when you perform an internet connection test, are they all normal?
