Help: PS3 Connection Issues

2 replies 288 views Edited Oct 27, 2013

My Ps3 refuses to stay connected to my router for more than like 1-30minutes. This started when I came up to college for my second year and for some reason my PS3 keeps getting the 80023AD error then doesn't allow me to connect again due to "DNS error 80710102". I have tried so many different solutions including: static ip & open dns but it still wont stay connected. This happens wirelessly and wired. Also, I cannot port forward due to university regulations. Anyone have a solution? Also, about 15 seconds before i get signed out the light corresponding to my ps3 on the router goes out and this has happened on two routers i have tried( Netgear & Linksys). Thanks for any response!

Did you have your PS3 with you for your first year of college, if so was it working fine then?

Also, are there other students with PS3's or XBOX's who have experienced the same issue, perhaps you could seek them out to see if they're having problems too?

If you're able to do so I would also speak with the administrator of the interent system there where you study to see if they can help.

Yeah, that is what I was hoping not to resort to because the people that do that here setup up your router in the dumbest ways. I didn't have my ps3 up here last year, but my friend did and his worked fine right out the box. I just don't understand why I keep getting DNS errors. Mainly because I don't understand what causes this.
