Me and my friend are dealing with a hacker.  He has tooken over many of my friend's friends' ps3's.  He has recently tooken over my ps3 and because of this, I can't play games or anything.  It doens't even take me to the home screen.  It takes me to the screen where it says my software isn't running correctly.  This guy needs to be reported to Sony and have his account tokken down so everybody else, including me, can have our stuff back.  **Edited**.  Please help me and my friend get rid of this guy because he won't leave us alone and is threatening to delete all our data.

I don't think there's any possible exploit that can remotely delete any PS3 data.

Unless you are using a hacked console where they can inject fake certificates or open up exploitable holes used for debugging (can't link, sorry), then you deserve everything coming for you. :smileyindifferent:

Well, the reason they took linux off was because of all the exploits. But at this point, yes this^ You're safe unless you have jailbroken equipment.

There has to be more to this story then this person is saying. If you dont give out personal info and such how can anyone hack your machine just playing a game with them. I have yet to see any issues. So buck up and tell the truth. Or just redo your ps from factory defult. Wipe it clean and start over. This will fix any bugs on it. But like I said Tell the entire story. I feel parts are missing.
