HTTP Status Code: 500

4 replies 1181 views Edited May 2, 2013

I've been reciving this error report:

HTTP Status Code: 500

Is there something I can do about it?

By the way, I found nothing in the Knowledge Center but there's someone on the Internet said error code beginning with digit 5 means problems from the server?

Welcome to the forums, Whit_US.

An HTTP error 500 is a server error - try again later, maybe reset your router and/or modem.

What were you doing when you got this error?  Might help with more suggestions.

** Use a unique password for your PSN ID - one you don't use anywhere else **
** Engage brain before putting mouth in gear **

The error report always came out when I was downloading sonething. I have tried to restart both the router and modem, didn't work out.

Now I can't even download the update for PSN.

By the way, I am living in China, if that helps.

In which country/region is your PSN Account?

It's in the US, I used to have the PSN Plus menbership and succesfully downlaod games like the little big planet, CSGO, etc.

I can login the PSN, the connection test result is good, things just went wrong when I downloaded something.

Will it be helpful if I give my PS3's MAC address?
