HELP ME! Have Strict NAT and want it Open!

1 replies 265 views Edited Jul 2, 2012

Currently, I have a Linksys BEFW11S4 router which is connected to a Comcast SMC8014 cable modem. I put my wireless router in the cable modem's DMZ, and my PS3 in my router's DMZ, which its own static IP. On the Internet test screen I got "NAT Type 2", but when I play Black Ops, my NAT is Strict! Help me, because I want my NAT to be Open!

If I were you, I would follow option number 1 in this guide. Basically, your Linksys will act as a switch/AP and you will be able to manage everything from the SMC.

I'm guessing that right now you have the Linksys in a different subnet and it's still acting like a router.
