did u ever get this sorted out? its been a while. im having the same problem but can hopefully shed some light on the situation. im in a college dorm and their networking is all screwy. i set my ps3 in the dmz with a static ip and forwarded all the correct ports but still get this message. oddly, my roomate and i were trying to figure it out and he signed on to his computers internet. our school requires we sign on to cisco clean access agent for internet use, and when he did that i signed into psn no problem. im looking for anyone who would know how to bypass this strangeness

Hi, Starting today I have also had the same problem. I am living in a college dorm that requires cisco clean access. I registered with them and I have been able to go on the internet with my PS3 fine. I play MW2 all the time. Starting today I have had the same error as you guys. I can't sign in. For me this is happening at cal poly.

Hey, I go to Cal Poly and live on campus too, and I had the same error code for the past week or so.  I just went back to Resnet with my PS3, and they changed the settings for what my PS3 can access and the guy there said to tell everyone that you need to go to the Resnet office and ask for Jeffery Porter and he'll fix it for you. It was something to do with changing the setting to "allow". I think you'll have to take your PS3 back down again so they can verify your Mac Address.

It's true!!  Go to the settings --> System Settings --> restore system defaults.

You'll then restart your PS3 system, and it'll boot up like the very first time you took it out of the box.

You'll then scan again for your wireless internet, and put in your internet password according to whether you have WPA or WPA-PK2 (TKIP) encryption.

Then, when it says it's connected to the internet, go to the internet test under network settings in the settings menu - click on test connection and get your new IP address.

Then you'll be able to sign into the PSN again.

I was having this problem, and this is what I did and it worked for me.  Hopefully it'll work for you too!
