Fraudulent Charge Attempted on my American Express Card at Sony Playstation Network

10 replies 244 views Edited Jun 5, 2012

Notified of an attempted charge on my credit card through the sony playstation network. Tried to contact and notify Sony but they said they don't have a fraud detection unit. They didn't seem to be interested either. I suggest you check the status of your credit cards in light of their nonchalant attitude about this and past performance issues with security on their playstation network.

It's probably a good idea to change your PSN password now if you haven't done so already.

Was it a large amount charged to your card? Or was it the same size as a monthly PlayStation Plus subscription?

Aw...I wanted to tell them. I was waiting for them to come back and tell me they did share. I was interested in their reasoning about how this was Sony's fault or why they should be more concerned.

I will change the password. It is not Sony't fault but their indifference is their fault especially in light of past issues with the security of their network

You're right. They shouldn't be indifferent to you gamesharing. Your console should be banned. Happy now that they care?
