Re: Delayed Transactions

Sep 17, 2012

This just happend to me. PSN took $5 off my card last friday, I didn't notice until now, thing is last time I put money on PSN was like a month ago and that money was taken off my card then, so it looks like ive been charged twice. A friend of my always told me to never use my debit card just to get PSN cards at the store. I'm taking his advice now and will be removing my card # off my psn account.

$5 today could be $20 tommorow.

Re: Delayed Transactions

Sep 18, 2012

This is outrageous, and I'll tell you why;

Where was any notification that this was happening? That there was even a problem to begin with? For me, I am careful with my budget, I buy games when I have the money, and god knows, I have poured HUNDREDS into the PSN.

At NO point, was I EVER informed there was a problem with the billing. Not an email, no blog post (I check the PS Blog every day), nothing. Not until, after an enjoyable evening of playing Borderland 2 all night, I get an email saying my bank account is NEGATIVE 180 BUCKS.

So I check, and lo and behold, the very two things that snowballed into a result of me being SUPER screwed, was 2 charges from Sony that allegedly cleared about 2 months ago.  Sapping 40 bucks from my account, which started me being in negative, then every purchase made after these charges from Sony EACH had overdraft fees attached to them.

Had these charges not occurred, I wouldn't even be remotely negative. Heck, if I had been given a SINGLE NOTICE of the issue at billing, I'd have been prepared. This absolute blunder has turned the 30 some odd bucks I had to my name, and literally cost me 180, possibly more as I have no freaking clue how I'm to cover this until pay day, and will probably be repeatedly overdraft until I fix it. There goes my paycheck, which goes towards my bills and rent, because I have direct deposit. I can't skirt around this and make due.

And all I get is a "Oh yah, there was a mistake a while back so now yer getting charged... there, we told you"

Dude.... seriously?!

Re: Delayed Transactions

i wasn't notified of this problem. not during july or august or even at the beginning of this month. this 'transaction delay' has put me in the hole for over 200 dollars because the transactions charged directly to my bank account. after calling customer service and them assuring me they can do absolutely nothing for me or offer compensation of any kind, i've decided playstation has lost me as a customer. i've been a loyal buyer for years, stuck with you through the account hacks and still advised people to go with playstation. well, you've lost me guys. and i'm telling everyone i can to do the same. hey, at least i'm giving you a heads up.

Re: Delayed Transactions

well i just saw my bank acct and it said i was charged with a card that was deactivated last month, now my acct is in overdraft...i seriously hope you plan on refunding that 10.00 you took out, if not then theres going to be a civil suit due to the fact that that cna mess people up credit wise....we're not caring about technical difficulties, thats not our fault...but when you delay a transaction like that  it WILL screw someone up...you shouldve taken that money out on that day, not now...and like i said, the card you used was deactivated last month, please fix this or you will be hearing from an attorney, this isnt a scare tactic but a very serious issue...ive got 2 kids, a 7 yr old and a 9 yr old, youre screwing with them by putting my acct in overdraft

Thanks for **bleep** me over sony. The worst part of it is that not once did you notify the public of it, until after you decided to stick your hands into our wallets. A simple heads up for this would have been welcome.

Sorry is not going to put this money back into my overdrafted account. Thanks sony, thanks a whole **bleep** lot.

This makes no sense whatsoever and has the earmarks of something illegal.

I paid for items in Home with a debit card on file.

The PSN ALWAYS checks to see if the funds are available in you debit or Credit card account before allowing you to digitally download its content so why the hell is it sending out billing statements after I already received a receipt saying the transaction was processed and I received my item ?

To bill me almost 2 weeks later for an item that I already paid for and recieved is criminal.

Billing errors are decimal points in the wrong column, or dates and time errors and even misspellings and accidental pricing errors.

What is happening here is Sony processing credit and debit card information, approving transactions if the funds are available, then delivering the content (along with receipt of purchase).

Then its obvious that a recurring billing feature was activated to have charged us all twice for the items previously purchased.

Even though they deny its double billing this is exactly what it is. They claim its delayed but it cant be delayed when the funds are automatically debited and subtracted from your accounts on the spot.

People arent stupid !!!!!

I know someone who was billed 3 times for 900.00...This is ridiculous

*Also take notice this is something else Sony has not announced or made mention of.

You can now have up to 300.00 in your wallet. Something is fishy

My checking acount was charged 1 month after my purchase this overdrafted my account i called psn to find out what the charges were for and they told me they had no idea to dispute the charges and so i did. Two days later my psn id is banned i call psn and NOW they tell me its due to a purchase i made in aug. They didnt want to see there fault all i got was a sorry a sorry isnt getting my account back .then ontop of that they told me if i.undispute the charges they will remove my ban and so i did. Then i call psn back and im like allright i undisputed the disputed charges for the account specialist to tell me we dont do that you gotta send a check or m.o finall i got tired of the run around and told him honestly i shouldnt have to pay for there mistake and asked to speak to tech supervisor and he didnt want to transfer me. If anone finds a number to the right person to consult id appreciate it.

I payed for Disagea 3 (PSV) in July for 39.99. Just today I got a charge on my visa stating that I owe sony 39.99 is this the problem related to this thread?

Here's what it says on my visa account:

Sep 13, 2012      PLAYSTATION NETWORK 877-971-7669 ON      39.99

Any help would be appreciate, this is the first time i've encounted a problem like this, and 39.99 is a sh!tload of money.

I've never had a problem with my credit card before, so I would be thankful for any help this community can give me.

EDIT: These **bleep** devils should be sued, probably stole at least $5000 from us.
