Anyone who is still having problems with there dns error try to reset your modem and router.
This should solve all problems.
Anyone with specfic questions repost them.

Re: DNS error 80710102 resolved

There are two methods you can use to find out the DNS

1.) Log into your router, and look them up on one of the config pages.  (Requires you to know the password and the possibly the username, and the IP address of the router)

2).  (Windows XP) Go to your computer, and go into the Network Conncetions, either through Control Panel, or through Network Places (and click on "View Connections"), or if you have the little dual computer terminals in your Windows icons on the "Start" bar, which tells you that you are connected to a network, you can double click on that.

If you go through control panel or Network places, click on the "Local Area Connection", and a window will popup which tells you the status, speed, and number of packets transmitting.  CLick on the support tab, and then click on the "Details" button, and that will tell you all in formation you need about the DNS, gatway, subnetmask, IP address etc.  Obviously you don't want to copy the IP adress over to the PS3, but all the other numbers should also work for the PS3

The bad news is that even after you put in these numbers, My connection still doesn't work.  The odd thing is that this setup worked for me for months, and its only been in the last month that I have been having issues.  If I don't connect any computer to the router and only the PS3, i can connect.  and at times, I can conncect my computer to the router and the PS3, and it  will work, but for sure if I connect my wife's computer to the router it boots the pS3 instantly.

Re: DNS error 80710102 resolved

Sorry if this has all ready been answered, i apologize ahead of time if it has but i really need to figure this out, ive been messing with it for almost 6 days now.

I am having a problem with my WiFi Link(Mayflash made)

My playstation 3 picks up my WiFi Link thats in my USB of my PC but i cant get around this 80710102 DNS Error

Because if auto select everything it wont find my IP and time out and if i manually do it then it DOES find my IP but gives me that DNS error about couldnt communicate with the server.

I'm not sure how to get around this
