Connection Issues

4 replies 55 views Edited Nov 16, 2011

I've been trying to get my internet connection setting working just fine for optimal online gaming but I'm having some issues.

MY DOWNLOAD SPEED ON MY LAPTOP/PC/MACBOOKPRO ARE ALL ROUGHLY AROUND 45-55Mbps repsectively WIRED OR WIRELESS

MY PLAYSTATION 3 IS AROUND 18-22Mbps WIRED OR WIRELESS.

I was wondering why i can't get my PS3 to get that same connection? I use it alot for media streaming for NETFLIX, etc...

Anybody have any suggestions?

Thanks. Matt

The speed test on the PS3 isn't very accurate. You shouldn't be alarmed by it.

The PS3 itself is fine, but the PS3 usually downloads from the PlayStation Network Servers -- those can be hit or miss with download speeds at times.

Three components to the speed test:

1)speed test server

2)network between the server and your client

3)your client

from the PC to the PS3, both 1 and 3 are different. Don't worry about it.
