This is very irrtating i bought a psn card on black friday and already threw my recepit away. When i go on  my ps3 to put the code, it says it might be incorrect or already used! I checked everything and its all right but it keeps giving me that message!! What do i do!? i still have the card with the digits.

Without the receipt there isn't much you can do. You can try calling Sony but I doubt you'll get much satisfaction. Is it possible someone scratched off the card and copied the number then covered the scratch area and put the card back on the store shelf? Did you notice anything unusual?

Also are you sure you're putting the correct code in? Os can look like 0s and other such similarities.

I would go back to the store where you purchased it and see if they can make sure it was activated at the register. Not having the receipt could pose a problem, but no harm in trying.

That's impossible! If someone even copy the code, the card/code must be activated (via register) before the code can even be used.

Actually it's very possible & has been done before shogun, all they do is place another sticker/label over where they scratched the original off to make it look like new.

Like Brit said it is possible. They put it back and some unsuspecting person buys the card and it gets activated. The thief just has to keep periodically trying to use the code until it works. I doubt they have to wait long or try often. Those cards sell quickly.

Has your credit card information on file changed at all? I bought a $20 PSN card a few months back, and couldn't get it to redeem no matter what I tried. After searching around, I realized that I still had an old credit card that had been cancelled on file. After I updated my credit card information the retail card redeemed fine. Even though it wasn't accessing my credit card at all, it still required an up-to-date card on file. Pretty lame, as it causes a lot of confusion. I would make sure all your profile information is up-to-date and try again.

You may have entered it incorrectly.  The font that the PSN cards use for codes lately is really bad. For one thing, the letter G looks like a number 6, and some of the other characters are hard to distinguish also.  If the code contains any digits that even vaguely resemble a letter, or vice-versa; try using the similar letter or number instead.
