I recenty bought a psn card, and when I scratched off the tab to reveal the code, it started to oddly smear out the code, making it illegible. So I tried to return it to the gamestop I bought it at, but they said they're not allowed be return cards like this. Then they give me the advice of trying to see if I can get the points by showing the barcode/ID number on the card to someone at sony.

I'm not sure if sony actually checks the forums, but just to be sure, I ask, could someone check the barcode/ID to get the redeem code? or something along those lines?

Sony would be able to send you a new code if yours is not legible. They are going to ask you to email them a picture of the reciept and Psn card. Then they will issue you another code.

Ah, thank you, but how are they going to ask? Are they going to send an email asking for this info? or should I send an email containing the information?

You would need to call them, they will setup a request on their end and send you a email with the instructions

i bought mine at cvs about a month ago the code didn't work , i just returned it and they gave me another one ...........

Not all retailers will do that. That was very cool of them. : )

i dont have a picture of the reciept because it was a birthday present given to my son from his friend i can only not determine 1 letter or number only the 8th character out of the 12 what do i do
