Access point not detected on wireless ps3

6 replies 5139 views Edited Aug 12, 2011

So I had wireless connection on my ps3 for quite some time now. No problem. All of a sudden it kicked me offline and wont let me sign back in. I run the test and IP adress fails. I try settings, but it sas : "Access point not detected" I turned off the router and the modem and turned them back on but it still wont let me connect on ps3. My enternet on the PC is working fine. Any suggestions or what may be the cause of this? Thx.

No one set the access point to N mode, instead of Mixed Mode?  Just wondering, is that a possibility?

Do you do that by changing settings in the router? If so, then no.

Yes, that would be a change in the router. Okay.

Look for a firmware update for your router. It might prevent wireless connection problems in the future.
