Not a lot of people show love for the Legacy of Kain series. I wouldn't mind that. Eidos could use the dreamcast version of Soul Reaver, that game looked sick on dreamcast. You would get 4 games. Sould Reaver, Soul Reaver 2, Blood Omen 2 and Defiance.  A underrated franchise with a great story and characters.

Yes, yes, yes and YES! Please!

I love the Legacy of Kain/Soul Reaver franchise. Now we're at Square-Enix's mercy as to whether they'll let Crystal Dynamics make anything other than another Tomb Raider game.

You two have very good taste.  I was obsessed with the Soul Reaver series, really great games with a solid story.

I'll add a few more series to the discussion that I'd personally like to see:

Clocktower 1-3

Shadow Hearts 1-2....and 3 I guess, I'd be willing to buy it for the first two.

.hack 1-3 and sneak 4 in there   It would sell like hotcakes I'm sure.

Onimusha 1-3

SOCOM 1-3

Suikoden 3-5 (if this counts)

Xenosaga 1-3

Zone of the Enders 1-2...and uhm some trailers or something to make it a trilogy

I think if any of those came out I'd buy them in a heart beat.

What do you guys think???

Whoa sushi, another fan of Xenosaga, i thought I was one of the few on the forums!

I`d definately love to see it happen, although I think its quite unlikely.

Some of the video game collections that I would like to see remastered and ported to the PlayStation®3:

  • Silent Hill Collection (SH2, SH3, & SH4)
  • Resident Evil Collection (RECVX & RE4)
  • Metal Gear Solid Collection (MSG2 & MSG3)
  • Devil May Cry Collection (DMC1, DMC2, & DMC3)
  • Grand Theft Auto Collection (GTA III, GTA VC, & GTA SA)

I would purchase a Silent Hill Collection and a Devil May Cry Collection in a heartbeat (true fact).

you're in luck then at least partially, because a RE collection including those two games has been annouced.

I actually need to rephrase myself in light of new developments and announcements:

I would like to see the following video games remastered and ported to the PlayStation®3 on a Blu-ray disc (in English) with original voice acting and original soundtracks (this is probably too much to ask):

  • Silent Hill Collection (SH2, SH3, & SH4)
  • Resident Evil Collection (RECVX & RE4)
  • Metal Gear Solid Collection (MSG2 & MSG3S)
  • Devil May Cry Collection (DMC1, DMC2, & DMC3SE)
  • Grand Theft Auto Collection (GTA III, GTA VC, & GTA SA)

I'm looking forward to the Silent Hill Re-Mastered Collection and the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

With original voicing and soundtrack?   What do you mean?

I mean exactly what I said. Those Resident Evil video games that are being remastered and ported to the PlayStation®3 are not being released on Blu-ray here in North America (unless CAPCOM changes their minds) and the Silent Hill video games in the Silent Hill Re-Mastered Collection will not have their original voice actors and actresses as well as their original soundtracks from the looks of things (this is a big deal).

I’m wondering what kinds of tricks will be pulled with the Metal Gear Solid HD Collection.

Wait they are changing everything in thr SH games?

Also yeah it does suck that RE seems to be only getting a digital release in NA.

Although maybe they will release a physical set down the line?

They are not changing everything in Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3. They are just changing enough in these video games to irritate the fans and discourage them from repurchasing some of their favorite video games (try to figure that one out). When developers re-release video games of this nature then the fans expect them to keep these video games intact. It really is discouraging to know that KONAMI will not do everything in their power to keep Silent Hill 2 and Silent Hill 3 intact and present them in a manner that fans have grown to love.
