Has gaming ever been blamed for breakups and divorce?
Has gaming taken away your interest in other things in life?
Is gaming eating away all your money as you are tempted
to spend beyond your budget for more DLC, more games, consoles, and peripherals?
Has gaming affecting your sleep?
Has gaming affected your job?
Has gaming affected your health?
Has it affected your life in any way?
Will it only get worse before it gets better?
What's your say on this?

Gaming can have hand in all of those issues. The key is to keep it within moderation. If you find that gaming is consuming to much time from your real life and causing problems at home, school, work, etc, its time to unplug the console, uninstall the software or put away the portable platform and revisit the outside world, reconnect with family and friends or get professional help.
Gaming can be a lot of things but the downfall to your life is not one of them…

From my own past experience playing too many video games did me more damage than good and I had to cut down.
I played so much that I wasn't seeing friends, I was missing sleep, I missed school....
I remember back in December 2001 I bought myself a brand new PS2 and when my Girlfriend found out she just dumped me.
I still play video games today but moderately.

I agree. It can influence any part of our life if we are not careful. Almost everything in life can be used to an extreme level - which is a hurtful level.

Achieving harmony while playing video games. You should write a book ! haha.
My video games made me throw the controller to pieces. Sometimes it makes me throw it at my 1080 HD TV.....but it's so preeeety that I stop myself at the last second. Well, that and my woman would do some serious harm to me. LOL

*Liability: anything that takes money away from your pocket

Gaming and becoming part of the gaming community has been benificial for me aswell. I used to be a very nervous person since I was never very good at sports. However, playing games has brought my confidence forward in leaps and bounds since I have finally found something I enjoy and am good at. Also, posting in these forums has helped me to break out of my bad habits of overusing words such as "epic" and "noob" and has resulted in a notable increase in my English marks in my school tests. Expressing my opinions has also helped me to break out of the stereotype applied to 14 year olds and teenagers in general
