This just occured to me, being that 3D on the PS3 is limited to 720p per eye does this then mean that games that will featuer 3D will have a max resolution of 720p...effectively bringing the development of 1080p games to an end possibly?
It wasn't as if Sony had many native 1080p games in the first place....
You are kind of restating my question and not really answering it. I already know that 3D games on the ps3 are going to be 720p. My question is do people think this means developers are going to stop developing 1080p games?
I personally think this would be a mistake. I don't care how hard Sony pushes 3D it isn't goign to take off at least not for a few years if ever. In this economic climate people are not going to invest in a 3K TV especially if they just bought one anywhere in the past three years. Fruther more the inablity to mix and match glasses and tvs and there being limits on the number of glasses that can work per tv really pose barriers to the adoptation of 3D in the house.
I bought my 1080p tv to play 1080p hd ps3 games not 720p games. I hope developers don't abbandon 1080p
I guess the point and question I am trying to make/ask is are developers going to be lazy and use 3D as an excuse to develop only 720p games. If this is the case I mean we all might of as well stuck with CRT SD TVs
The only thing in 1080p is blu-ray movies, and possibly some TV shows if you get the right satellite company, maybe.
Those were just the three I had sitting on my night stand next to me. I didn't feel like going over to my library and checking any of them. Again I am not saying there are a lot of 1080p games out there. I WANT MORE 1080p games. I am just worried that 3D will lead developers to not make 1080p games at all.
I mean come do any of you out there really have a 3D TV and thus benifit from hault game resolultions at 720p?
