1. To help Sony
2. To make the feature even better someday
3. Bragging rights
4. Be able to experience at least part of Home

It's also to look for glitches and stuff...

If I somehow got into the beta, a miracle... I would be glad to help improve Home. Bragging rights would be good, though

The purpose of beta testing Home is to help Sony find and remove bugs as well as suggest features you think is important to Home.

You really feel part of the development team when you suggest a feature that gets implemented.

Maybe you need to think...

Gain feedback on what can be improved or added to make it better.

General glitches and bugs that happen, functions not working properly.

Missing items, textures, incorrect placements, etc.

Basically, just trying to get Home in a good working condition for when it's released.

That's why gaming companies do beta testing... They develop the game, have an audience to beta test on to gain feedback, then release a demo for the public to advertise, and then comes the game.

The PC game F.E.A.R. did extensive beta testing.

I love beta's they let you check for glitches and other faulty items... you might even get a special something for being part of the beta.

While being one of the first to play hooks a lot of potential beta testers, what they need/are looking for is people to do the tedious, hard work necessary to find those bugs that could hinder a successful launch and not people looking for bragging rights.
