Because, much like the real world, PSHome is full of many people with different personalities, opinions, and points of view.  Not everyone is going to see eye to eye, or get along.   So, much like the real world, it is bound to be chaotic.  Its up to you if you are a part of that, or choose to enjoy it for what it has to offer.

There is so much because people just don't know how to behave.

You can run around free on Home. It can get just as unpleasant in Home just like it can in real life. So the things people could say in real life, they could in Home. Less dangerous, but happens often.

Home is different than the real world. It's mostly made up of cowards who attack others safe behind their monitors. The real world is much more silent compared to Home/Internet. It's a fantasy land for people who normally are ignored.

You have a valid point there gunner.  Many of the people on home are too afraid to get out in the real world and have a voice for themselves there, so when they get on home the amount "chaos" they have to offer is multiplied from holding it in so long.  Its the only way they feel comfortable doing it.  In hiding.  :smileyhappy:

Home is a platform for users of PSN to socialize. That's more or less all it has ever been.

Home is no more full of havoc or chaos then then it has been, however as we are now in the dying days of the service Sony is not exactly putting forth a ton of effort to maintaining Home (not that they ever really did).

In its prime Home had a staff of 4 figureheads, CydoniaX the Community Manager, Locust Star and Buggie Techinca the Specialists, and GlassWalls as Head Mod. Buggie was not around for to long and eventually moved elsewhere. Glass moved up to Specialist (I am not sure who filled the head mod position I want to say Tempest Fire but I could be wrong. [Also when did Tempest move up to community manager? Congrats man.]). Cyd moved away from Sony, leaving Glass and LS to run the show. Glass moved on as well, and I honestly have no clue about LS (A bit of a search turns up he is still with Sony as a Senior Manger of Digital Platforms). That is as much as I know. Keep in mind of course this is staff that interacted with the community, there was always many more behind the scenes.

Its likely there is only a skeleton crew of mods still dedicated to Home, if any at all. There are no longer any community managers dedicated to Home and the Sony staff still working with the platform are assigned to "digital platforms" which would indicate they deal with more then just PS home.

And many of Home's more dedicated and helpful community members have long since left.

At this point the longest running constant Home is our own Jersqual. The fossil that he is.
