Re: Why's there drama around the card tables?

Dec 6, 2009

It was a favorite of my gf and me to just meet people and mess around. Honestly I've been in the upstairs level of that space a total of like 3 minutes, I dont really care for it.

I'm more interested in the smaller bar downstairs in the corner. Many good times there.

A growing trend, it seems.
Nah, it's not a growing trend.  You just haven't gotten to know the good people in the poker community yet  : )
Mech, if you see me playing please come up and introduce yourself - I'm usually playing the black tables.  l know almost everyone there b/c we've played each other about a million times lol, but I'd be happy to introduce you to a great group of people and show you that not all of us are Drama Queens  ;-)

See what I mean? Those that haven't learned to play can't see the fun and excitement of the game.

Yea but bringing a Vaggie attitude to a virtual poker table doesnt convey fun and excitement.  It just shows sum people can make a boring to watch game look even worse by acting like complete queefs.

Only bothered when told to go all in, and when another player takes a long time to type a message. As a matter of distraction, I think it's a worse issue at the Racing Complex as well as the Bowling Alley, because of the necessary coordination and timing both require, especially the former.

I'd say because most the people don't know how to play poker.  They think going all in on the first hand with 7 2 is considered bluffing.  When it's really just about the dumbest way you can play.

Lol, at least their being realistic. I've been to a few casino with a few buddies. Even a bachelors party for a real close friend where they were bringing drama from other casinos, gossiping about the other players. I unno, guess because there is people around and they hope to get heard?

Smack talk I can handle but I've seen a couple of free for all's that made me cringe so bad I had to leave the room.

And no offense but the worst one involved three women.

I don't play much anymore but I still hear some of the gossip.
