When you have more/new consumers hanging around, a sale is a way to generate interest. They're happening because they make marketing sense.

That's what got me in. Low-priced TV and a Godzilla suit?  I am a cheap date.

WHERE?

VeeMee is having a sale on Billabong bundles and Loot with the Hollywood Hills stuff. Not sure if there are others.

Oh that stuff... Personally I think the Billabong stuff is crap and the Loot stuff is somewhat appropriately priced with the sale price..

I personally love the billabong line. Yes I did buy the ultimate female bundle. To me the loot sale isnt worth it since I own the daytime hollywood hills and the radio bundle.

Who cares WHY, I care that it IS. I am on a fixed income, so any savings and finds are fine with me. Also, I think they are realizing that a number of people here have limited access to income, or, maybe a sale on a few of their products might open the door to people to come in to see what else is there. Maybe they just want the good feeling( and I have felt that:smileywink:) of making things a little easier for someone else, because sometimes when one does good, it comes back to them also( darn,I sound more like a Jedi than a Sith, but it is true^_^)

By far the best sales are in the kiosk at x7.  Sony has been packaging hundreds of heavily discounted items into different bundles, I think they have around 70 bundles so far, with a new one added each week.  Some are only about 50% of the regular price, but most are more than 75% off the regular price, even as much as 90% off.

UPDATE:  Here is a link from AZ4 with tabs for each of the $1 bundles from the x7 "Specials".  To browse through them just click on each one and it should list what each bundle includes.

x7 access is free for owners of certain items from the Exlusive store, or PS+ members.  if you took advanatge of the 1-month free PS+ from the E3 quests, you can get into x7 for free.

They also sell three bundles of 100 items each, which you can find in the normal shopping menu.  I think they are $5 or just $1 each for Mansion owners.

100 Items Super Bundle

100 Furniture Items Super Bundle

100 Vacation-Themed Items Super Bundle

Not only that, but Sony has been slashing prices in their normal store menus as well, and not just the "Sale" tab.

I gave away my free trial, didn't want to enter my credit card lol. Ah well.

What would be the cheapest way to get into x7?

If you mean the club (for the deals), not the VIP section, a PS+ membership worked for me, and the discounts on the PSN store are also worth it.  As for the VIP section of X7, I was wondering that as well.

Without the PS+ membership, the cheapest way in is likely the 7-day pass, but for just a few dollars more you can buy a mansion space and get permanent free access, and the 100 item bundles are only $1 each instead of $5, among other perks you get with owning parts of the mansion.

As for the VIP section in x7 there is no exclusive deals there, just a private space to hang out in.

If you find value in an item then its worth the purchase as w anything. What one person may enjoy another may find totally worthless. So in summary if its on sale n you like it n have the money buy it.
