Will home work with a USB headset or only with the BlueTooth headset?

Yes, ur USB Headset or ur Logitech Headset as well as ur Bluetooth headset will work on Home

What processes in your mind? Headset specifications don't even cross my mind when I think of Home. Why should they?

Any headset compatible with the Playstation 3 will work with Home, regardless if it is Bluetooth or USB
