The tournament was a lot of fun, I did'nt find any issues and everything seemed to be structered well.

Also, congratulations to the semi-finalists and thank you Digital Leisure for the great tournament.

The only issue I found was at the very beginning. But it might have been a player's connection or people still not fully loaded into the space.

The game froze and kept restarting. We started leaving the game one at a time until it started working. So basically, after three people left, the game started working properly. A couple of other games people froze and were kicked...

Those were the only times I encountered this issue. Otherwise, everything ran smoothly.

The blind structures are the way they are so that more games can complete. The semis and the finals will have slower blind raises.

That's completely unnecessary. I've never played in a tournament where the blinds sextupled after 20 minutes.

I played four tables in the first hour and a half then quit out of disgust. Somehow that was enough to stay in the top five BRs for the majority of the day. I played one table in the last ten minutes and finished on the top half of the board. That's ridiculous for an MTT, even a freeroll donk convention like today's qualifier.

It's obvious you guys have no clue what you're doing.

Maybe next time shorten the playing time to 4 or 6 hrs. I found myself getting tired after  6-7 hrs..

We can either play any game in the world in accordance with the Rules or structure that the host or the creator of the game determines or not play at all. If we cannot play the game as they have designed it, then we have the choice to not participate.

Just as in a game of Bank the Eight Ball in Pool, we have to decide if we want the cue ball to bank or the eight ball to bank before we take the first shot of the game. Every pool hall and bar has it's own Rules.

If we cannot play Texas Hold'Em as Digital Leisure wants us to, then we can choose not to participate.

The event was fun. Though I did not qualify, I had a great time. I do plan on playing again when the opportunity presents itself.

And it was a beta. Our input may influence changed in the tournament.

The way you play the game is the way you live your life.

Nice job using the same crappy turbo blind structure for the qualifying round.

At the first two tables I played, I saw four showdowns with the same hole cards.

Your poker is still awful. It's nearly as bad as the rest of your table games.

Everyone who's ever played in a real tournament or casino knows it, but you just don't seem to care.

I did have to wonder about the randomization process used in the game at times.

The same combinations seemed to come up more frequently than expected.

I was dealt 6,9 so many times that I started suspecting that the dealers were hitting on me. :smileywink: There were clearly an inordinate number of pocket rockets being dealt as well. I only played 8-10 games and somebody had pocket aces at least once per game, I'd estimate.

The chances are what they are, I suppose, and everyone is affected equally. Overall, I enjoyed playing in the tournament. I played my games over 2-3 hours total and still had over 3000 chips left, even with some crazy betting towards the end. With more patience and time to spend playing on my part, I probably could have fared better but an 8-hour day of Home poker would be a little too much for me.

Thanks for the few games we got too play MsLiza. I enjoyed the event but yea there were some problems, like the the same whole cards popping up more than expected, or so many flushes & straights in the same hand. Tho since I'm basically a noob too the Casino Hold'em game, was'nt really sure if that was just kinda normal. We all knew going in that the blinds would be the same until the semi-finals so can't really complain about that., tho it is something that needs to change even in the regular public room. The time also could've been a little shorter as well. There were a few glitches too, well really just one for me but it popped up a few times. The end animation would show flush or straight but the players cards didn't equal it lol. Hopefully DL will take everyones suggestions & apply them too the next tourney. All in all I had a great time & since I ended up w/ $4000 at the end, I lasted way longer than expected.

I know the tourney is still going on lol atleast for 36 players, but I was wondering. What setup for entering do y'all think DL will use next tourney? Do you think it will be paying for the entry bracelet & how much would you be will to pay, or do you think they will use the play so many games a month setup they used this time?

I recall hearing that only the beta tournament would have you attain the bracelet for free by meeting the qualifications.

Apparently there may be a fee for the next tournaments bracelets, in wich case I suppose I would'nt mind.

Re: The Casino: BETA Poker Tournament

I played 6 hours of 7 of this tournament beta and had some highs and lows both card wise and well... Mentally haha. My brain STILL hurts and my eyes.. are still seeing suits. I didnt make the board but I believe I played in over 15 games and chatted and met some really great players who had class and skills. It was tiring and I kept being just under the 36th so I kept pushing but couldnt in the end. I came in third and second alot which just wasnt bumping my earnings in enough time as those winning first places consistently. I didnt have any glitches and saw security in every room I had switched to. I wish for it to be a shorter amount of time in the future. I'd say 4 hours as that is when I really started to drop off in terms of patience despite being fed and chaining a pack. lol I still have 5 aces though :smileywink:
