Gameplay Guide
Read the instructions at the orange spinning cube in front of the central kiosk.
Wait for the lobby music to begin playing before attempting to enter a match. Accessing the game while the space is loading may freeze your PS3.
Adjusting the difficulty will increase the XP multiplier at the end of a match. Normal difficulty gives a 1.5x multiplier, but the minimap is limited. Hard difficulty gives a 2x multiplier, but there is no minimap and damage from other players is increased.
If you are new to the game, get a feel for the mechanics in the training area, then progress to the beginner arena. The XP payout is the same, but opponents have more health. Because of this, players who participated in the beta may want to start with the normal arena.
There is a rare bug that will cause a player to freeze in place upon dying. When this happens, the dead player will be locked in place, and the other players will not be able to inflict damage or pick up items. Everyone must quit the game manually.
If your avatar is stuck in the center of the lobby after finishing a match, use a dance move.
A black cube with colored symbols will spawn in a fixed position once per game. Picking up this item will provide you with a random reagent for the L-project on your next visit to the Peakvox Labs space. The cube is independent for each player, so everyone has an equal opportunity to pick it up during every match. Once you've collected ten cubes, they will stop spawning until you visit Peakvox Labs and add the reagents to your item box.
You will receive a login bonus of 50 xp each day you play. Logging in on subsequent days will increase the daily bonus by 10 XP. Once the bonus has accumulated to 300 XP, it will require another 10 days of consecutive logins before 10 more XP is added to the daily total. For example, logging in for the 52nd consecutive day will award 320 XP. The daily reset is at midnight PST.
Owning the following items will multiply the daily login bonus at the conclusion of your first match of the day:
+50% - Moonlight Space
+30% - Garden Stone Set
+25% - Decorative Japanese Furniture Set
+25% - Japanese Room Divider Set
+20% - Garden Set (Pine)
+20% - Garden Set (Bamboo)
+10% - Cooling Set (Pattern 1)
+10% - Cooling Set (Pattern 2)
+10% - Cooling Set (Pattern 3)
Each Friday, the beginner arena is replaced with a weekly mission. Only the default weapons may be used. Depending on the conditions, bonus XP/energy/gold is awarded to the winning team and MVP. The mission is available for 24 hours, from 7 PM PST Friday to 7 PM PST Saturday.
The current level cap for NA Home is 50, although the bar can be filled to level 51 (542,280 XP). Once the XP cap is reached, the daily login bonuses will begin stacking.
As you level up, you will unlock the ability to wear avatar items in game:
Level 3 - Shoes
Level 6 - Hands
Level 10 - Head + Face & Head Accessories
Level 12 - Bottoms
Level 14 - Tops
Level 20 - Outfits

Current level cap in US is 20. You need around 80,000 experience for that.
The best way to earn experience is to play on hard mode. Whenever you do good, use 25 of your 100 energy to boost the exp by 200%. While playing on hard mode, it's relatively easy to get 1000 experience per match, doing that.

Hard isn't always the best choice, especially against the laggy Japanese players.
Pick whichever difficulty you can get the most kills with.

Very Nice Stardust on creating this thread, much helpful.. I started playing some last night.. so this will help alot as this game has some of ther nicest rewards available from what I've seen.
I noticed there are items we can buy to help with our EXP in the game.
Also here is an interesting HomeStation Magazine article on the game with some hints that McJorneil wrote a few months back
