Not unless you can get Funimation, Section 23 Films, and Gainax to all agree on the legal arrangement, Sony won't be able to bring this to the States. Most Japan animation franchises never make to Home as an event or The PSN Store in the US.
Don't those studios all work with the us though also? You can buy their animated movies so why would they not agree if there was money in it for them? Peakvox will be coming here eventually while some said it would not happen. Edo & granzellas work has come over partly due I'm sure to customer demand. Its worth trying surely
It's all deals with who holds the license to release the products for that region and what they can do with it.
Peakvox already said they were looking into other regions since last year. That stance hasn't changed.
You also need to consider Peakvox, Granzella, Lockwood, etc usually release products that are their own original and have no ties with anything else (with a few exceptions). That means they are the owners, creators, license holders, and distributers of their products, so they themselves could do anything with it. Also they only involve with digital stuff, so they really don't need an international branch.
Anime stuff isn't that easy since everything isn't digital. Along with digital stuff, they have DVDs, toys, music cds, and other merchandise. Unlike selling digital, it's not easy to manage stuff and make business in a land you really don't know, and it's not really cost efficient to produce stuff in 1 country and import them and distribute, so they try to find business that will take care within that region. If a company has enough financial and personal resources, they might have/make an international branch of their own company, but if not then usually they sell their license to those kind of company.
Then here's the license part. It's basically a rental of the rights to release stuff for a specific amount of time, and each contract varies through the negotiations. They may have any clause saying what they can sell or distribute, how much in quantaties, and how much they need to pay or how much royalties needs to be paid for what they sold. There could be many other conditions within the contract also. This is where it becomes a headache and probably involves in multiple companies to talk to until getting the green light to release stuff. In some cases, the time and cost of going through all that trouble might out weight the demand.
