Need more 8 bit games to play!

15 replies 23 views Edited Jan 3, 2009

The addiction from those stand up arcade machines has bit me again 28 years later!!!

LOL!!!

25 cents in 1981 must be worth 2 bucks today~!

I must have kept my parents broke until the home console of Atari kept me away!

Although I remember my parents paying $35 for Aventure, Kaboom, and others back then. Whats that today in price? Over a hundred bucks????

No rentals until the ninetys!!!!

+1 kudos mate!! the  same feeling  here !! :robothappy:
There were a group of people on the planet not too long ago that enjoyed censoring all things they didnt agree with. They called themselves Nazis. They too had an agenda and infiltrated the political system of their country. They too called themselves patriots. The United States was founded on religious freedom and the right to worship as freely as you see fit. It was not founded by a bunch of narrow minded totalitarians that tried to force their book of fairy tales on everyone.

lol well it would be cool if the "bowling alley" did have more arcade machines, mostly the classics like pac-man, pong, galaga, etc..

Ah yes, those were the days.

You know, there is a real opportunity for the copyright owners of the arcade games from the 80s and early 90s to bring emulated versions of their games to PSN and put them in a game gabinet for sale in the Stuff store in Home.  I'd pay $5 for a a virtual version of quite a lot of those old arcade games, as long as theyw ere the authentic versions of course....

Seriously though, can you imagine how great it would be to have half a dozen of your favorite old arcade games in your apartment in their arcade cabinets?

We need dozens more of these games. Perhaps Sony should hire the guys behind MAME?

Home is free, but the drinks cost extra.

Home auto-reply text for female avatars :-

"I'm sorry, I cannot respond now, I am playing this game. My age is immaterial. No, I am much better looking than my Avatar. No, I won't do that. Leave me alone you sleaze bag. Oh, sorry, not you, the other guy. Please can you just let me play this game. No, I don't like that dance. No, you can't sit there. Oh, come on, would you just get up you immature jerk! Alright, I'm nearly done, can you please let me be so I can concentrate on finishing this game for now?"

Home auto-reply text for male avatars :-

"Dood!"

Kudos. I agree. Bring to us an 8 Bit arcade even. I tell you, if we can get an 8 Bit arcade with so many games in each, I wouldn't give two **bleep**s about the graphics of newer games. The classics is where it is at......... they focused on fun more than anything.
