Frankly, I'm more worried that instead of this being a money pit, it's going to be a time pit, consuming vast amounts of our time doing the same tasks over and over for hours.... And some people wonder why so many have turned to ISE to get rewards when so many rewards these days require a massive amount of personal time with little or no regard to skill and strategy.

I sincerely hope this space will be different - and to DL's credit, I still think the Casino is one of the more reasonable grinding activities with some really creative, fun, and valuable rewards.  As not only can you use some skill and strategy, but you can also socialize while 'grinding' during the moments where a Casino game doesn't require you to do anything.

So I'm still holding on to a glimmer of hope this space is going to be amazing... As frankly Home needs more amazing spaces and less mindless grinding spaces.

Sony's PlayStation Home updated mission statement...

"Like it never happened"

- Stand for something better than mediocrity and don't disguise it as adequate, when clearly it is far from that to anyone willing to be objective and unbiased. -

We hope you guys enjoy the western space as much as we are enjoying it internally. Usually during the QA process we get very tired and bored of playing the same games over and over, but we still come in every day and enjoy testing these games. Even the free to play grind is fun, we've added what I think is an interesting element that will make it feel less of a grind and more like a game.

I guess you call playing a game for a long time "grinding?" But, I don't mind having something to play for a long period of time, it gets pretty boring in Home sometimes and I like games that keep me busy.

Digital Leisure-I am so impressed with your customer service and patience answering questions and keeping us updated on what you are doing!! Keep up the good work, we live having you as a developer!

This week we're giving you guys a look at the Cart Customization interface. Here you'll be able to choose from several options once you've unlocked them.

This space is looking better and better each week. Seems like a lot to do to keep the community busy. For me at least my favorite space is Acorn and this one looks like it'll be one I'll be spending time in too.

Re: UPDATE #21 - The Next Best Thing Riding Into Home - Digital Leisure

I am torn between wondering how aggravating it would be if every developer teased this much and counting the number of major updates/new spaces since this thread was created (over five months ago).

If Digital Leisure is still working on the Western Frontier, it won't pass certification and debut on Home until Christmas. A space like this is better suited for spring or summer.

The minigames remind me of the Midway. I would rather idle or rejoin every fifteen minutes than spend that time playing a monotonous minigame panning for gold. And how stupid would it have been if you had to buy a consumable pickaxe in order to mine for half the day just to earn the equivalent of one green ticket?

Because there's no way Digital Leisure is going to give us 50 plays of their minigames for $1 of gold. Consider how long 500 chips last at Paradise Springs. They know they're going to overcharge for this, which is why they're consummately teasing us. Don't fall for it; a few of you are smarter than that.

Since a black hole can't be looked into, I'll assume you meant the event horizon.

We know now that Home will be gone by next April. I intend to enjoy it as long as it's around. I hope you do, too.
