NA Home management needs a serious OVER HAUL

122 replies 1143 views Edited Jan 15, 2013

I love Home as much as all of us do, HOWEVER the recent and gradual changes are leaving a sour taste in my mouth.

1. Home blog updates on Wednesdays

2. Managements lack of caring about what we say

3. NO game related content

4. NO 1st party support

5. Higher prices (it's expected but virtual items are UNLIMITED in quantity)

5. Lack luster events

That's just the tip of the ice berg and those reasons are making Home very boring. If the management doesn't care about us, why should we even support Home or management anymore? I had the honor of meeting GlassWalls and Locust_Star 2 years ago at E3 and they *seemed* very enthusiastic about Home then, now, not so much. It seems EU, JP and EVEN the empty HK management teams care more about the user than OUR OWN management team. Do we need to overhaul the Home team and get in new people to get things done they way WE, THE USERS want?

IKR, it's so sad, cuz I love Home. I really do.

This latest blog thing is just not cool. It takes the fun and anticipation out of updates.

And we REALLY need a new impact public space that'll blow us all away!!!

The winter space was sure a let - down, too...after such high hopes from the previous year!

Let's hope 2013 is filled with some great new things!

Peakvox has been in another server for a long time, it's not "technically" new, and even so, it's still the first game in awhile with major incentives. FUBAR and Uproar are recent 'actiony' titles, but neither has prizes to drool over, or much replay value for purposes other than leaderboard.

Hexxalon is the only real new thing we've seen in a long time with that much depth in the space. Dead Island's event had a photo booth, trivia, scavenger sub game, and a team/solo game, MuiMui Ship has races, pickory collecting, and a bunch of lil gimmicks to toy with, Edo has mutliple games, and lots of lil interactions, Aurora, Casino, etc....

Spaces with more than just 1 or 2 small things to do are rare lately as we've gotten practically nothing, even with the holiday season come and gone, most are left with a sense of 'meh' over it all, as the games in them were not that great. I agree with the OP that we need new staff to persue 1st/3rd party involvement and user communication. Joystick is the only one I regularly see doing his job as our tech rep, and I thank him for that.

I feel that if we had a more involved staff, places like Red Bull, Killzone/DeadIsland, and other spaces that lost with excuses that involved lack of communication, we'd still have them. :/ I think our guys rather take naps than talks with 3rd parties about keeping spaces live & chat with us.

I don't budlist-add on forums, and blank PSN requests get ignored!
Missing Rewards -over a year old, still never fixed! 3-4 months worth of items still MIA.

No. Just kidding, yeah I see your point I guess I should re-word it.

What I mean is a space that kind of appeals to everyone, as much as I hate to say it - kinda like CP. I'm thinking like an outdoorsy, park like setting that is just meant for hanging out. No gimmicks and games with rewards that people will complain about, lol. Just a simple, yet impactful space that all will want to use. Cool benches and picnic tables and such to sit at.

There are not many spaces like this. I spend my alone time at the Casino. I spend time hanging out with friends at the beach. That's about it. There's something about that open space that makes it appealing to hang out in, well that and the shining sun! That's what we need more of!

NA Home management needs a serious OVER HAUL

[ Edited ]

It's very sad, I know a few people who are slowly moving most of their interest to the UK and Japan - better prizes, events and you can get most everything in Home week otwo before it comes to NA - it just seems NA Home just doesn't give a #!*# anymore.

It's getting to the point that I thinka new person visiting Home will find all the public spaces filled with trolls and all of the people that used to make Home an interesting place to visit have left.

It seems NA is the BIGGEST region that makes the most money yet is treated like a red headed step child. Apparently, NA Home makes TOO MUCH money to even be cared about. I'm starting to spend less and less each week because of the lack of caring from our Home "team". If this continues and I/we don't see changes, my money is going to other regions who actually CARE about user input.

Remeber Home team, we DON'T need you, YOU need us! There are PLENTY of other opitions out there that will glady accept our money. Without US THE USERS, YOU WOULDN'T HAVE A JOB.

while i agree with all of that, for some reason the Home blog update being on Wednesday seems to upset me more than it should. :smileyfrustrated:

i guess it could be because the other 5 issues have been around for a while now so ive come to accept them... which is sad.
