Mortality in Home....

44 replies 357 views Edited Oct 3, 2012

Just randomly thinking here.  Is there mortality in HOME?  Should there be?  People spend hours, days, weeks, months, years, building their avatar in HOME.  What if there was a possibility of losing all that in a random or planned event?

Think of the possibilities.  Bring the COD or BF element into the HOME and it could be EPIC!

News Report:

Armed assailants invaded the HOME mall today and initiated a firefight.  Three of the assailants were killed.  Four "innocent" bystanders were killed in the firefight.

The victims leave behind well furnished Condos, Zen retreats, and a ton of swag.  Friends and families of the victims will morn their loss.

Then, the victims and assailants have to rebuild their avatar.  FROM SCRATCH!

YEAH!  I would take a lot more interest in HOME, if this was a possibility.

Just Wondering....

I guess what I am saying is; for those who did not expect or want to start over, this would add that realism to it.

People would have to be careful where they go, like in real life.

My hunch is, no one will really want to loose all their progress.  They would have to "fight" to keep their avatar alive.  AWESOME!!!!!

Home is not a fighting or war game. It isn't meant to be. It's a social-gaming platform. We have killing games in Home. We can play those or play a videogame.

I'm not knocking your idea. I'm just letting you know that no matter how much anyone might suggest mortality in Home, it will never happen.

The way you play the game is the way you live your life.

That's just it.  RIght now, you don't.  What if though?

Then hording and swaging becomes menial, and survival and protection becomes the object.  What window treatments do I get? NO, what home protection do you get?  What torch should I hang in my sonic temple?  NO, what booby traps do you set for looters?

The possibilities!
