A lot of it has to do with the speed of your service provider and how quickly you receive the tweet relative to other users. It's tough getting a code to work when dropped on the internet with a service like Twitter.
Loot does it a bit differently by collecting the entries and then doing a random drawing. They then DM the winners with the code. That's a bit less dependent upon when you are lucky enough to receive the tweet with the code.
Either way it's nice of the developers to even offer up codes as prizes.

No one here is mad. I got what i wanted out of the deal. It has nothing to do about being faster than someone else In my case. Any other smart comments?

Thankyou GM for the Christmas codes, a nice touch for Christmas Day. I've enjoyed some of your items already (esp the elegant table) so look forward to seeing what you bring us in the New Year.
