I've been on Home right at 3 months and I just got my 3rd $20 PSN card. Not all of it on Home mind you....I like to get games on discount! And my wife has rented a few movies. I did get the 100 pc furniture set and blueprint home and the glowing hands floating LMO. Other than that its been $.50 here and $1 there. I just can't talk myself into getting all the blueprint packs that I want !
Must be a lot, since your sig there can't even afford clothes
Ive had a 20$ card every week since i really got into Playing home. which is a lil over a year and a half.
Like every noob at first, when i discovered home i saw no purpose or reason to spend any money for anything.
Saw it as a foolish way to spend my hard earned money. But things started accumulating. I saw things i really liked and opened my head to all the possibilities throughout this virtual world and the amount of things one can create within.
I Started making friends early and discovered soon the things ppl had and were eager to show off.
Being a disco freak... I couldnt hold back anymore and decided i needed my own disco. And since i had the batcave already just sitting there all lonely i decided i really wanted to create that disco. One to blow em all away. So i went ahead and did my first purchase. Disco lites. Disco floors n the playground music boombox. Much like that song in the boombox. My disco lead to plenty good times. Ppl loved my disco though as simple as it was at that time. And i soon realized how awesome everything i created was. Even at that moment where i had hardly nada. Then halloween started to approach..
Well, That led to countless items being purchased. 20$ for every week and update. Sometimes more. but i always picked out what i wanted. Not whats thrown at me. That alone has saved me plenty of hassle. And dont have none of the useless stuff taking up my precious inventory slots.
Now i look back and see if theres anything in store i would like. though im saying lately to myself.. i've got everything i want already.
Viewed the store countless times. Pretty much familiar with all the content in the store and also where theyre located. So im done with spending. Well not for new things. But having things put into storage each time i get a new item also is holding me back from purchasing.
All in all I've say I've spent well over $1200 In home Alone. But with all the things i have they all get plenty of good use. Dont regret much of my purchases. and now i see my spending in home as well worth it. And addicted to getting network cards for more n more.
My only problem with spending money on Home is that I cant use the content on all of my accounts on the console. Probably spent about 100 on my old account recently switched to a new name and lost all my home content so i doubt i will be spending any more.
If you can still use your old account its not really considered losing your Home content.
I've been on Home since Closed Beta, and I'm a very regular user, but I'm very proud to say I haven't spent a cent on PlayStation Home. But I can guarantee, if they came out with any Mr. Toad item, it would easily be my first purchase.
Probably a bit too much over close to two years.
But I enjoyed most of it. Sure there was a few bad pick. Especially at first. Some items sunk down the storage or are private places I almost never go. But it's surprising how much fun you can have with a few bucks.
Like many others first I tought it was foolish to spend real money on virtual items. Now I see it more like real items in a virtual world.
How much did I spent on music, movies or other hobbies before home? Probably more.
I bought a tons of items at Novus. Way much more the game worth. But if I look at the time I spent there, the cost/hours is down to almost nothing. And I dont mind helping a dev I like. In todays world you vote with your dollars.
