Home fams and their "hacking" threats

19 replies 424 views Edited Jun 19, 2013

alot of new users are not aware of what fams actually are, a Playstation Home Fam can differ from their actual meanings: an online gang,a group of friends/family,a club of ordinary users, ETC. but im sure alot of you have heard a fam say they will "hack" you. now, i have never hacked or wanted to hack, but if your gonna hack somebody, your putting yourself at risk. Hacking is a federal offense in most states, if all of the United States and many hackers can get series info from the ones they are hacking. NEVER give your Social Security # to ANYONE on Home nor any website. Credit Card numbers as well. i have been threatened many times on Home by fams saying they will "hack" me. well lets face it, you'd have to give them your account info basically to have that happen. so if you are new to Home and have been threatened, submit a report and report the hacking Threats. i have been a Playstation gamer since the first original console and i wont stand for hacking and hackers. LETS STAND TALL TOGETHER AND PUT A STOP TO THE THEIVES ROBBING US. SAY NO TO HACKING!!!

Report it to moderation. it's pretty simple. And don't give out personal information.

We have seen and heard from a few fam groups who are legit and just want to hang out and have events so lets not throw every fam under the bus just yet. Then we have the others who , well.. They're boisterous. Keep in mind that if they tell you they are going to hack you then 99.9 percent it's a scare tactic.

Report, block and move on has been a common phrase around here. This will usually save you a lot of unnecessary arguments. It also leaves a bewildered look on a hackers face as well..

If everyone in home that has been threaten with hacking actually got hacked, no one would have an account...well at least not their own. Best way to not get hacked, give out very very little info about yourself. I am amazed when im in home and observing others just how much info people are willing to give out open and freely.

i totally agree, it doesnt bother me because i am not dumb enough to tell them what they wanna hear.  is it even possible to hack without getting the info? because ALOT of users pretend to be software geniuses and they barely know how to write standard english.. hmmmm. XD

Just to add onto raidens thought. Use a good password people! numbers and letters and tough to figure out. Do not give up your password to anyone.
