Complete MiniBot Guide

[ Edited ]

There have been alot of questions about MiniBots lately, so I figured I'll throw a collective answer to Q&A's I've seen, please let me know what I'm missing.

SinglePlayer(MiniBots: BattleBox) vs MultiPlayer(MiniBots Training Facility):

-Single player is only for those that have purchased the BattleBox Active Item from the Juggernaut Games store, while multiplayer is given to anybody who visits someone's Training Facility in the form of a personal space.

-Purchase of the SinglePlayer gives a Blue "Build Kit", while receiving the MultiPlayer gives a Red "Build Kit" and armory tiles.

-SinglePlayer and Multiplayer are NOT compatible, items such as ammo piles, weapon pads, and bounce/hazard objects to not affect SinglePlayer.(think 1P as MiniBots1.0, Multi as 2.0, and they have not been patched to collaborate)

-In ANY mode, outside users cannot see a player's activities, or be seen in MiniBot or Avatar form, only exception is if a game of Multiplayer is started as an Observer.

-Multiplayer currently does not have the ability to late-join, be it as a competition or Observer in the Training Facility.

Gadgets for Multiplayer:

All Gadgets for Multiplayer are unlocked in the Juggernaut's MiniBot store for $, not tokens. The only exception being the Cake Gadget that was received for completion of the SinglePlayer demo that was once in the Action District.

The $10 "Ultimate Bundle" gives all gadgets, the Assaulter and Abuser, as well as GirlBot and GentleBot MiniBot Decorations and Avatar head items for both Single and Multiplayer games.

All gadgets besides the Sentry and Turret Gadgets are represented as purchased with furniture, those 2 Gadgets are represented as purchased companions.

Juggernaut Tokens:

Alvin's Armory works like a miniature LKWD Giftmachine, in that when an item is purchased, a menu of "Who receives the item?" lists every user in the space with the buyer, so that the buyer or a "giftee" may receive the item purchased with JugTokens.

Alvin's Armory:

All items in Alvin's Armory are for purchase as a 'Targeted Gift' for yourself, or anyone in the space with you. All items in the Weapons and Decorations tabs give matching items for your MiniBot and your Avatar. Battlefield Effects and Furniture are MiniBot scaled items only.

Gameplay - Single/Multi

-SinglePlayer

20 Levels of MiniBot vs enemy drones, followed by infinite-mode of random enemies spawning, as levels are completed, level progress is saved so that it can be restarted from a level of choosing. Ex. Beat up to level 14, and it should give you the option to select levels 1-14, beat all 20 and you can also select Infinity.

Assaulter and Abuser weapons are default equipped weapons, and ammo crates spawn randomly around the map to pick up for ammo, refilling a set ammunition and 2 Grenades until maxed.

-Multiplayer - 2-8 players per game

Arenas built on the side of the Training Facility past the clear wall is interacted with as solid items, besides specially created Juggernaut furniture meant to interact with gameplay. Anything on the "Arena side" of the wall will have edges detected as obstacles.

8 players is the maximum per game, but multiple games can be played at any given time. Weapons placed as furniture tiles will not be relocated/removed if the Weapon Spawn setting is On/Off, circular weapon tiles represent 'random spawn' weapons.

*NOTE* The Training Facility has a semi-solid wall behind the Multiplayer podium, this wall is solid for Multiplayer games, but is semi-solid for SinglePlayer. If you put the BattleBox into the Training Facility, put it on the side opposite the Multiplayer podium, otherwise the game loads all ammo crates and enemies onto the side with the fountain, and not into the Arena portion of the space, though they can pass through it to the Arena side, they do not do it actively unless the flying bots are in pursuit.

The Arena(Training Facility):

Those who are avid builders/creators should note, currently this space has no 'save layout' function for easy Arena copy/paste changes between setups. For now the only recommendation for this section is create a folder on a USB data storage, and any time an Arena is made to your liking, make a folder in the USB w/ the name you'll give it, and copy the Home Save Data for the Training Facility into that folder, then you can wipe the space clean and build again, without losing the previous build. You cannot change Arenas with this tip while logged into Home, but it does allow options.

Weapons:

Lol Thanks Lil. Glad to say I'm not a guide. :smileytongue: Just what I call a "Freebie Guru", Guides have gag-orders and rules. :3 No likey those.

Updated the guide with Gameplay now. Also, anybody interested in MiniBots is welcome to FR me on the PSN w/ MiniBots in the message, as I've made multiple arenas.

Re: Complete MiniBot Guide

Finally got around to buying the ultimate bundle. Best purchase I've made on home since the

sodium one pilot jacket. Hope they get around to making the single player and multiplayer

versions compatible so we can wear the same decoration and use the same guns in either version.

Updated with 8/8 patch info regarding the Mechanite Reaper reward and the resulting 'completion' prize the axe's working status now finishes.

I'll be online a bit if people want to add me to gather together and boost the 10kill requirements for obtaining the gold trophy, just add MiniBots to the XMB msg so I know this is why.

Re: Complete MiniBot Guide

Lol Thanks for the support Fazeone.

Here's a scale-shot picture of all the weapon-prize furniture items. Please note the Blaster gives a hand item, and the Guardian is a Gadget, so the healpad has no weapon-tile beside it, and the Blaster isnt present in the pic. Other objects are next to their respective weapon tile.

Once AZ4 catches up, I'll go back and add the Home-item squares to the Prizes section, and maybe a weapons handling/pro&con part later on.
